Lookups

The LOOKUP feature is used to activate code lookups from other data files in the system. If the system maintains a file with codes pertaining to specific data entry field a lookup button will be available next to the data entry screen. Click the button to activate the Lookup feature. A List box will appear with the available codes specific to the data entry field. Double-click on the desired code and the code will paste back into the data entry field.

With the lookup, comes a FILTER feature. Using the FILTER, you can query the file with certain criteria. The following sample shows all the vendors in New York.
